Who We Are

Optometry Practice Valuations, the name says it all. After careful analysis, we let optometrists know the value of their practice. Instead of being a Jack (or Jill) of all things optometry…. and master of none, we are experts in the field of optometry valuations and its related areas.

The purpose of OPV is to empower optometrists with knowledge. Understanding the value of your practice empowers you to make educated business decisions.

Other consultants are there to do your accounting, billing, HR, credentialing, frame boards, the list goes on. This is great and we are happy they are there to fill those other needs. We are here to value your practice and help you to understand the language of numbers.

About Tyler Judkins

Before transitioning to the optometric industry, Tyler spent 15 years in commercial finance. He has reviewed, analyzed, and underwritten all types of products for hundreds of businesses. He began his career in the optometric industry as a business advisor for Professional Eye Care Associates of America (PECAA). As a business advisor, Tyler met with hundreds of OD’s to consult and educate them in areas related to business finance (including valuations).

Meeting the qualifications required to be a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts and having passed the proctored exam, you can be rest assured that your valuation is in good hands.

Tyler received his BA degree in finance (with a minor in Spanish) from Weber State University (Utah). He has been married to his wife Sara since August 11, 2000. They have four amazing boys; Gabe (2002), Jed (2004), Drake (2007), and Dax (2014).
